A visitor!

My big sister came to visit this weekend and I couldn’t be happier!  We goofed off in D.C., she visited my office, and she got to experience the joy of sailing the Bay with a visit to St. Michaels!  Loved having her here!

Bring on the heat! 🥵

Today I...installed a check valve, cleaned the a/c strainer, and blew out the a/c lines.  We are ready for the heat wave!! 

Celebrating Independence

After a fabulous fireworks show at our marina on the 3rd, we decided to brave the heat, rain, and crowds to celebrate in the nation’s capital! Not only did we get to enjoy the music and fireworks from the “A Capitol Fourth” celebration, but we had tickets to the President’s event which included military bands, aircraft fly-overs, and fireworks, too!  We had to endure a long day and tough weather conditions, and the fireworks ended up being blanketed by their own smoke, but it was an experience that I think the kids won’t soon forget!
