Home at last!
After 18 days away we are back home! We got the call this afternoon that the boat was back in the water so we rushed to get it moved. Water tanks are filled, a/c is on, and beds are made. The riggers still have some work do, but at least we could move back. My sis-in-law's family was wonderful and let us stay with them for about 10 days of that time and we can't thank them enough, but is so great to be home!!!

All set!
Laundry is done, bags are packed, boat is moved, vehicles have moved, and we are ready to go! We celebrated Katreina's "graduation" from kindergarten tonight with a big dinner at the Dogfish Head Alehouse and the kids are snuggled up in bed in the hotel room. In 8 hours we'll be on a plane headed to Mexico!
Moving day (well, kind of)
The great adventure begins today! It's our little girl's last day of Kindergarten, we are moving the boat for a haul-out to get the mast fixed and bottom painted, and we begin our surprise vacation! The winds finally cooperated last night so that we were able to get the sails down. Now I just have to empty the fridge and pack up all of our stuff so we have clothes to wear for the next few weeks. I think we'll make it, especially as I'm staying home from work today. Then in the wee hours if the morning tomorrow we will board a flight to Mexico for a few days of beach, pool, eat, and sleep. The kids don't even know it yet!!!!

Non-boating boater's weekend
Plan A was to work on a few boat projects Saturday morning, then go sailing for the night. Plan B was what happened instead, and I'm so ok with that!
While Frank did some more stuff to get ready to install solar panels, the kids and I opened the pool. After plenty of nagging from the 6 yr old we decided to stay put and hit the beach for movie night. It was really nice and relaxing, and reminded me just how much awesome stuff our marina has to offer.
Sunday is best handled "rambling style"! Family TRX workout on the beach, breakfast at Honey's Harvest, SUP ride, pool, poolside lunch and cocktails, naps, biking, skateboarding, dinner on the beach, books. Happiness...
